Tina and Shay’s Jewish Wedding At Torat Emet

I love my job and how it always introduces me to new couples and their unique love stories. What makes being a part of their story even more enjoyable is getting to document their love and union across several traditions and cultures. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing Tina and Shay’s Jewish Wedding at Torat Emet in Bexley. It was truly amazing to see how they planned such a gorgeous celebration without sparing any detail - from the stunning venue selection to the striking combination of lavender and purple decor that accentuated their beautiful day.  I had such a great time capturing their love for one another and photographing all those special moments shared by family and friends. Here’s a glimpse of the day.

Tina And Shay’s Torat Emet Wedding

I started the day photographing the bride and groom getting ready. Tina looked breathtakingly beautiful in her wedding dress with the long train. Every detail was on-point - from her makeup and hair clip to the Christian Louboutin heels. Similarly, Shay certainly turned heads looking absolutely dapper in his wedding attire with a smile that never left his face! Taking photos of them together was a marvelous treat. I couldn’t help but soak in the strong bond they have together as I captured Shay's loving gazes and Tina’s enchanting smile. I especially loved her spectacular bridal bouquet created with purple flowers in all shades - it added a pop of color to her bridal look.

Photographing Tina and Shay's Jewish wedding at Torat Emet was so heartwarming. Both families gathered to celebrate their union with traditional Jewish rituals, including the marriage contract, called a ketubah. Tina looked like an angel as she walked down the aisle with her parents and I couldn't help but feel emotional watching this incredible event unfold. The veiling, or bedeken, was another special moment - it was a beautiful scene as Shay veiled his bride-to-be and brought her under the chuppah, where they exchanged vows. Smiles never seemed to fade from their faces throughout the ceremony, including Shay’s famous glass breaking that ended in a little celebratory dance by Tina that had all eyes on her.

What a joyous affair it was to witness Tina and Shay celebrating their union with friends and family at their wedding reception. The purple uplighting and decor were absolutely exquisite, perfectly matching the purple theme of the entire day. The highlight of the celebration was undoubtedly seeing Tina and Shay execute the traditional Hora dance, joining hands and dancing around in circles while they were lifted up on chairs juggled by their beaming guests. What an incredible sight it was! It was absolutely wonderful being able to capture every joyful moment of this beautiful wedding.
