Real Wedding at Westin in Downtown Columbus

Romantic elements accented the classic April wedding of Kim and Michael. Everything, except for the formal photo shoot inside the Ohio Statehouse, was held at the historic Westin in downtown Columbus. From getting ready to the ceremony and reception, everything was at one location which made for a fun and relaxed day. We joined Michael and his groomsmen first, and got to see the groom put on his spirited OSU socks and cuff links....a necessity for any Columbus wedding. We then headed to see the bride and her bridesmaids, who sparkled in muted gold gowns. As the bride Kim stepped into her lace and tulle gown, designed by Maggie Sottero, she became as timelessly beautiful as the Westin.

The ceremony was in the grand ballroom, which was then flipped during cocktail hour to the reception hall. The elegant room shimmers with gold, ivory, and white. Marble floors and antiqued mirrors create a luxurious feeling in this historic room that is unparalleled by any other venue in Columbus. Kim and Michael looked stunning in front of this backdrop throughout the evening. The large, green floral arrangements, accented with white hydrangea, almost made the room feel like you were inside a secret garden. The tables were adorned with gold and white decor that accented the magnificence of the room. This wedding exemplified simplistic beauty.
