Kim & Jacob’s Oak Grove Wedding

A historic barn and an oak grove, a rustic atmosphere with a contemporary touch, and an unparalleled indoor-outdoor experience are what I got to work with at Kim and Jacob’s wedding. It was a beautiful day and the incredible wedding venue, Jorgensen Farms Oak Grove, made it even better. Kim and Jacob were surrounded by their loved ones, and it warmed my heart to see all the support they got on their big day. Even the bride and groom’s furry babies joined in the festivities and added their own charm to the wedding photos. From my couple and the venue to all the little details they planned together - everything about this wedding was exquisite!

I looove giving some extra time to the getting ready photos. And I was so glad that I got to do that at Kim and Jacob’s wedding too because they are definitely one of the most stunning couples I’ve worked with. After taking some solo portraits of the bride and groom, I photographed them with their bridal party, and that's another part of wedding photography that I try not to miss - no matter how tight the timeline. Most couples bring out their fun side with their bridal party, and these two were no different.

After the portraits, Kim did a first look for Jacob, which was oh-so-romantic. First looks always give way to some pure and raw emotions, where every moment is worth a picture. I loved their reactions. Kim and Jacob had also planned to say their vows privately, and it was such an honor for me to be a part of those intimate moments. It’s really encouraging to see how much some couples are willing to let you in, and when these things happen, I know I am doing something right as their wedding photographer.

In a sweet ceremony, Kim and Jacob were pronounced man and wife, which was followed with loud cheers from the guests. And the celebration only got better with such a fun-loving bridal party and amazing guests. Although I have to say, their dogs were the center of attention too! One of the many ways I got lucky while photographing Kim and Jacob is that we had plenty of time for couples portraits. Indoor, outdoor - we went all in! They share such beautiful chemistry, and capturing that on camera was a treat for me.

While the reception party was all about dancing and singing, I did get some more portraits of Kim and Jacob (can’t miss any opportunity to get my couple together!). Another moment that easily made its way to my list of favorites was my couple’s sparkler exit. The guests lined up in front of the glasshouse and cheered for the newlyweds as they made their way out and into this new journey together. Now that I go back and look at the photos, there really couldn’t have been a better venue than the Jorgensen Farms Oak Grove for Kim and Jacob’s wedding. Everything just aligned flawlessly.
